This is back-to-back housing in Leeds,
where you occupy either the front or the back of the house
(both look pretty much the same)
and have neighbours on 3 sides.
Willow Tree, Chapel Allerton
It’s dark at 4 o’clock.
The willow tree is adorned with fairy lights
for the festive season.
Cars and people are on the move and
I’m drawing in a doorway.
